Madden 23 NFL Draft Program

Madden 23 – NFL Draft Program

Every April, football fans look forward to one event: The NFL Draft. Filled with mystery and with plenty of excitement, the NFL Draft is as big an event for football fans as the games themselves. EA decided to join in on the fun, releasing an all-new NFL Draft Program.

Madden 23 Ultimate Team has been winding down with its player releases, and EA is looking for exciting new content to fill the void. Honoring some of the brightest former and current NFL stars that were drafted throughout the leagues’ history, the NFL Draft Program comes baring an elite selection of player items, with seven of them baring 99 overall ratings.

The NFL Draft Program is a two-part feature, with the first set of players revealed yesterday, April 19, on Good Morning Madden at 10:30AM EST. Despite the reveal taking place on Twitter, the actual in-game release of the NFL Draft Program didn’t transpire until today.

Madden 23 – NFL Draft Program Details

The NFL Draft Program comes with plenty to offer in Madden 23. The biggest and probably the most popular feature of the new program, is that of the returning Mock Draft. For those that might not remember from Madden 22, or might be new to this experience all together, the Mock Draft feature in Madden 23 allows fans to earn NFL Draft Vouchers they can place into sets to fulfill a 14-pick Round 1 NFL Mock Draft.

To complete the Mock Draft, fans will have to play through Mock Draft Challenges with the maximum amount of challenge stars in order to earn these NFL Draft Vouchers. Once secured, fans can then place these vouchers into sets and choose which position they think will be selected for each of the first 14 picks in the NFL Draft this year. Keep in mind though that as soon as you select the position you think will be drafted, it will be locked in for good. So be sure to choose wisely!

Should you guess a certain amount of picks correctly, you will earn Mock Draft prizes. The more picks you accurately predict, the more rewards you will receive. Here’s the full list of Mock Draft rewards:

Mock Draft Pick Rewards

  • 1 Pick – 1,000 MUT Coin
  • 3 Picks – 83+ Overall Elite Player
  • 5 Picks – 91+ Overall NFL Draft Player
  • 7 Picks – 93+ Overall NFL Draft Player
  • 9 Picks – 95+ Overall First Round Draft Player
  • 11 Picks – Choice of 1 of 32 First Round Draft Players
  • 12 Picks – Choice of 4 of 32 First Round Draft Players
  • 13 Picks – All BND NFL Draft Past Heroes & Champions
  • 14 Picks – All BND NFL Draft Past Heroes & Champions plus 8 of 32 1st Round Draft Players
Madden 23 – NFL Draft Past Players

The first of the two-part NFL Draft Program drops consists of what Madden 23 calls ‘NFL Draft Past’ players, meaning all of these items are former or active NFL players that were drafted prior to 2023. This presumably means that the part two release will likely consist of the 2023 NFL Draft class members themselves, particularly seeing that some of the Mock Draft rewards consist of 1st Round Draft players.

Here’s the full set of Part 1 NFL Draft Past players you can now secure in Madden 23 Ultimate Team. You can acquire these new players by completing their sets, purchasing them from store packs, or securing them from the Auction Market. Down below is the list of NFL Draft Program Part 1 players that are live in Madden 23 Ultimate Team.

Madden 23’s Final Roster Update Is Live

Madden 23 Final Roster Update

The final roster update of the season for Madden NFL 23 arrived today. Inexplicably Super Bowl LVII MVP Patrick Mahomes is not a 99 overall and will not be joining teammate Travis Kelce in the 99 Club. After limping around on a bum ankle for a few weeks, EA did raise his toughness to a 99. One would assume Mahomes will be an overall 99 when the ratings drop for Madden NFL 24.

Jalen Hurts went up to an overall 87, the same rating as Dak Prescott who went down a point. Aaron Rodgers also dropped a point to an overall 86. Other than Patrick Peterson going up a point to an 85 and James Bradberry IV dropping a point to an overall 84, there wasn’t a lot of movement.

Players can now start a new Franchise beginning at the Super Bowl.

Play Madden 23 With Your Friends

Play Madden 23 With Friends

Playing against friends is just more fun. Yes, Madden has some great single player game modes like Face of the Franchise, but that doesn’t compare to the thrill of beating your buddy. Whether you are playing your pal just for the satisfaction of beating them or playing for some real cash on GamerSaloon, head to head action is where it’s at. Luckily, Madden23 has delivered on a bunch of different ways to do that, let’s take a look at a few of them.

Play Now (Head to Head)

This is head to head Madden as you’ve always known it and love it. Play a buddy across the street or across the ocean. Customize the game as you want, and you are off to the races. But, and it’s a huge but…you need to unlock the game mode first. You will need to reach Level 4 on the Field to get in on the action. So play challenges to get the XP you need to keep leveling up.

Superstar KO

In our opinion this is a downright fantastic game mode but some people hate it and here’s why; limited playbook and no audibles to start. That is the draw for us, as it allows you to work on stopping someone who tries to run the same play.

The Yard

This is our favorite game mode. You can take your Face of the Franchise career mode and hit the high school fields for a 6 v 6 backyard style game. The action is fast, you’ll need a high-octane
pass offense to succeed.

Madden Ultimate Team

What is more fun than using a hand picked team that you created? If you’ve built a stacked team, it’s probably time to test drive the roster against some buddies.

Franchise Mode

If you have 31 friends or co-workers and can muster up the time to organize it, this is where it is at. You will need to win on the field and in the press box as you manage your roster, train, coach and ultimately compete. If you’ve played previous Madden Franchise modes, you might be thinking, NO THANKS, but it’s clear that EA has been listening to the community. Franchise Mode now offers more efficient scouting, more realistic drafts and trades.

Have fun out there and don’t forget to check out GamerSaloon.com and play the game you love for real
cash.

Madden 23 Franchise Saves Deleted by Data Storage Error at EA

Maddens often ridiculed Franchise mode had a different kind of issue for users this time around. Some players who logged in to Madden 23 over the holidays experienced an issue related to data storage that corrupted their Franchise files — causing irreparable damage to some. Initial estimates are that 60% of League Data will not be recoverable.

According to the team at EA, the issue ran from December 28 around 2:45 pm EST to December 29 around 12:45 am. Players trying to log in to the Madden Franchise server around this time experienced a data storage error resulting in corruption of their Online Franchise, Connected Franchise Mode Leagues, and Face of the Franchise files.

EA says its teams are attempting to restore those files, but they estimate only 40% will be recoverable, in some instance players will have permanently lost their saves.

For those who didn’t log in during that window, you appear safe from the data storage issue and should be able to play. As for anyone who experienced a loss, there doesn’t seem to be anything you can do until the update next week.

Does Madden 23 Have Crossplay?

Madden 23 Crossplay

Does Madden NFL 23 have crossplay multiplayer?

Madden NFL 23 did not have cross-platform multiplayer or crossplay in any form at time of release.

The Madden NFL series has never had crossplay and EA Sports has made no mention on this changing with Madden NFL 23 going forward.

Madden NFL 23 crossplay is completely nonexistent in any form. Not only are PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players all segregated from one another, it’s also likely that cross-generation play won’t be included either. This means that PlayStation 4 and 5 players, as well as Xbox One and Series X/S players, will all be prevented from playing with each other.
