New rewards, events, and MyCAREER updates are on their way.

NBA 2K22 Season 7: Return of Heroes will drop this Friday. Season 7 is set to build off the fan-favorite version from last year, as they focus on a new era of NBA greats such as Joel Embiid. You’ll also see the addition of a new TKO event to The City and the Cancha Del Mar, the event will allow you to compete for new rewards and complete quests. We have more details and the trailer below as the season will go live on May 20th.

The new MyCAREER Level 40 Reward has been confirmed, and some more Dark Matter cards are on the way. Your MyTEAM Level 1 reward is a Galaxy Opal Zion Williamson.

Season 7 will also allow you to complete the Challenger Mural’s collection, which will reward you with the Invincible Dark Matter Joel Embiid for your troubles.

Return of Heroes MyTEAM Rewards

The MyTEAM rewards in NBA 2K22 Season 7 already look pretty good.

There will be a new Domination tier, which looks like it is going to have a good pay off for fans of 2K22 MyTEAM. Your reward for completing the challenge is an Invincible Tim Hardaway.

Getting to Level 40 during NBA 2K22 Season 7: Return of Heroes is something you are going to want to do. The reward is Invincible Anthony Edwards.

NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes

NBA 2K22 released the update 1.12 patch today, and it is quite the update. Today’s patch is expected to begin preparations for the launch of Season 7 later this week.

It’s been a little over a month since Season 6: Zero Gravity launched in NBA 2K22, which means we’re about ready for the beginning of a new season filled with new content. Although players won’t notice any immediate changes in today’s update, it means Season 7 is right around the corner.

Here’s everything we know so far about the latest NBA 2K22 update, as well as when you can expect Season 7 to get started.

NBA 2K22 Season 7 Update Details

The developers always release a new patch a few days prior to the launch of the new season. Although yet to be officially confirmed by, Season 7 of NBA 2K22 is expected to launch on Friday, May 20th, 2022.

As of now, the May 16 update only appears to be available on current-gen consoles, with a reported download size of 37GB, which may vary depending on your platform. More then likely today’s patch will be rolled out for next-gen consoles and PC before the launch of season 7.

Here’s what we know a few hours prior to the Supernova Packs release.

The NBA 2K22 MyTeam Supernova Packs will release to the Market today, three high end Dark Matter cards have already been revealed.

The Dark Matter James Harden looks to be one of the best cards to hit the market to date. Also part of the promotion is a Dark Matter Shaq, a Dark Matter Magic Johnson, and a Dark Matter Andrei Kirilenko.

Takeoff Packs are still available

For a few more days, the NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Takeoff Packs will still be available.

This pack features a Dark Matter, a Galaxy Opal, a Pink Diamond, and a Diamond. All of which you’ll have the chance to pull. The pack is limited to five per NBA 2K22 account.

NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Limited Rewards Details

Some news surrounding changes to the NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Limited Rewards was announced today and it will impact players.

After backlash from the MyTEAM Community, the rewards will be changed for the Limited Rewards if you earn six rings.

Votes place in the NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Community Hub determined the reward players were going to receive. They were set to receive the Dark Matter Limited Reward card with the most votes, after the change players will be able to choose their Dark Matter reward.

The pack will contain the original four players :

  • DM John Stockton
  • DM Jamal Murray
  • DM Markelle Fultz
  • DM Don Ohl

With only a few weeks left in Season 6 of NBA 2K22 MyTEAM, you’ll need to start earning rewards soon if you want to add the best cards in the promotion to your collection.

NBA 2K22 releases a new series called Glitched

NBA 2K22 released its new series “Glitched“, featuring some of NBA’s greats with boosted stats.

2K Games is taking full advantage of the real life playoff push with a bunch of new content for NBA 2K22 every week. This week’s promotion is bringing a new wave of awesome players.

The new series offers something unique to some of the greatest players to play the game. Each card in the series will have a stat boosted that is not the player’s strong suit, highlighting the “glitched” theme of the release. The newly released glitched cards bring a whole new element to players MyTeam squads.

Four players in total have been announced for the series, all in 99-overall Dark Matter form. The Glitched Ben Simmons and Yao Ming cards can shoot 3’s with the likes of Stephen Curry. Minnesota Timberwolves D’Angelo Russell’s unit makes his defensive shortcomings a strength, boosting his defensive ability to match the offense he provides. Larry Bird, one of the greatest players in NBA history, couldn’t dunk. That’s a thing of the past in NBA 2K22 MyTeam, as his Glitched card can slam it down like Dr. J.

The promotion runs through May 5th.

Xbox Game Pass Adds NBA 2K22

NBA 2K22 Added to Game Pass

The Game Pass library gets a big addition with the addition of NBA 2K22.

The Xbox Game Pass library added some major value this week with the addition of 2K Sports latest basketball title.

The real-world NBA Playoffs are now underway, so the timing can’t be better. With interest in the NBA at its peak 2K Sports is looking to capitalize and get more people on the game(and spending their money).

Microsoft and 2K did not announce NBA 2K22 for Game Pass ahead of time–it was announced and released on April 28. A departure from the regular rollout of monthly announcements and releases to Xbox Game Pass.

April 28th also marked the launch of Bugnsnax and Unsouled on Game Pass. NBA 2K22 is the latest big-name sports title to come to Game Pass this month, following MLB The Show 22 on April 5.

NBA 2K22 Unveils New Series Pack & Locker Code

The flow of new in-game content continues for NBA 2K22 MyTeam. Season 6: Zero Gravity has dropped some of the best cards in the game, and now more is on the way.

2K Games unveiled a new series pack “Takeoff 2”. The series features a new Dark Matter Unit, along with Galaxy Opal, Pink Diamond, and Diamond units. The packs will be available for a limited time.

Added was was a Dark Matter 99-overall Derrick Rose, a 98-overall Galaxy Opal Kevin Love, a 96-overall Pink Diamond Michael Porter Jr, and a Diamond 94-overall Kawhi Leonard.

A new locker code is also available. Entering the code MyTEAM-FAN-FAVORITES-2TWD8 will award players one Fan Favorites Pack or one Diamond Shoe Boost, it is available for one week.

NBA 2K22 Releases Its Playoffs Plans

The NBA Playoffs started on April 18, and NBA 2K22 has dropped some new content to celebrate the start of the league’s postseason. The Playoffs Agenda offers players a daily level-up player to challenge for.

The newest challenges offer the opportunity to pick up some awesome rewards, including a Dark Matter and three Pink Diamond cards.

In tandem with the Season 6: Zero Gravity campaign you can follow along with the NBA Playoffs to find out what challenges are set to drop. The 99-overall Dark Matter card was revealed to be Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young, while the three 96-overall Pink Diamond cards  are New Orleans Pelicans rookie Herbert Jones, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley, and Brooklyn Nets small forward Bruce Brown.

Players who complete agendas for each game throughout the first round of the NBA Playoffs can earn Playoff Rewards from the teams that win their first-round series.

NBA 2K22 Releases New Pack Features and Shaq Season 6 Agenda Unit

Season 6: Zero Gravity’s newest adds a legend to the player pool.

Players putting time into the Agenda challenges can obtain one new unit each day and use them in a challenge for a chance to grab the next unit on the following day. NBA 2K22 Season 6 releases units ranked from Gold tier up to one Dark Matter unit, which can be obtained on the last day of the event.

Shaq joins the roster of players obtainable through the Season 6 challenges. He is represented as a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers and can be obtained for free following a challenge using the previously released Grant Williams unit.

NBA 2K22 is also releasing a new pack series called “Fan Favorites” that will feature three new items. A Galaxy Opal Jonathan Isaac (98-overall), Dark Matter Kristaps Porzingis (99-overall), and Dark Matter Kevin Durant (99-overall) are the players involved. For Durant, it marks the second time this month that he’s been featured in a release, with his player card receiving a boost earlier in the month.
